Douglas Pelletier, Founder of Trifecta Technologies, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. After four years at the University of Waterloo and a year of graduate school at Regent College in Vancouver studying ethics and theology, Mr. Pelletier attended Lehigh University where he completed his studies in the Masters of Business Administration Program (MBA).  He entered the ranks of the IBM Corporation in 1981 in the General Systems Division as a Marketing Representative in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey.

Mr. Pelletier joined JIT Inventory Systems Incorporated, a privately held systems integration and computer consulting business in 1991, and formed Trifecta Consulting Group with the principal of JIT.  A business partner relationship with IBM was immediately established to sell IBM computer hardware and software.  Shortly afterwards, Trifecta Technologies was incorporated and since incorporation, Mr. Pelletier has been the sole shareholder.  Under his leadership, the company has enjoyed more than sixteen years of growth and emerged as an expert in the area of e-commerce and Internet-based application development. 

Mr. Pelletier is currently on the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown; a past Chairman of the Board of the Sacred Heart Foundation; a past Director of LARC (now called Via); and Past President of Kiwanis Club of West Allentown.  He is active with the United Way of the Lehigh Valley and is a member of the Tocqueville Society.  He is an avid golfer and member of Lehigh Country Club, in Allentown.

Edward R. Kornberger – President

Ed Kornberger has joined Trifecta in 2007 having concluded a 31-year career at IBM.  After graduating from Duke University with multiple degrees, Ed joined IBM where he held various sales, sales management and executive positions during his career.  Most recently, he was Director of Sales in IBM’s Communications Business.  In addition, Ed held positions as IBM Vice President, Global Chemical and Life Sciences, IBM Americas Vice President, e-Infrastructure Initiatives, Branch Manager, Eastern Pennsylvania along with other positions during his 24 years in management.

Mr. Kornberger has had overall responsibility for delivering client-focused business solutions to customers across the globe.  In doing so, he has successfully integrated multiple technologies, teams of support and various internal and external organizations across most industry segments.  Under his leadership, client satisfaction grew substantially as many diverse systems were launched.

In his current role, Mr. Kornberger assumes the day-to-day operations of Trifecta and the highly skilled workforce the company has retained.  In addition to his ongoing role, he is also missioned to help set Trifecta’s strategic directives in support of key client initiative.

Mr. Kornberger has been recognized as a significant community leader in the Lehigh Valley as well as the State of Pennsylvania where he served as IBM senior State Executive for five years.  He was the Community’s Distinguished Citizen in 2001 as recognized by the Minsi Trails Council BSA.  In addition, Mr. Kornberger has served as the Campaign Chair of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, Chairman of the Burn Prevention Classic for 15 years where he is also on their Board of Directors.  He also has served as Chairman of the Philadelphia Flyers Alumni Charities event for 5 years, as well as board positions with the Ben Franklin Technology Center, United Way, Colorado School of Mines and the Pennsylvania Business Roundtable.

Mr. Kornberger has been married to his wife Nancy for 32 years and has two children and two grandchildren.

Russ Kopy - Vice President

Russ Kopy has served as Vice President and General Manager of the firm for more than nine years.  During that period, his responsibilities have included management of the company’s day-to-day business operations and executive oversight for client engagements. In addition, Russ handles the sales proposals, statements of work and the contracts necessary to establishing new and ongoing client relationships.

Prior to 1998, Mr. Kopy served in a variety of executive capacities with Pentamation Enterprises of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  During most of his seventeen years with that organization, he was Vice President for the Government Systems Division specializing in the development and implementation of software products for the local government marketplace.  Prior to 1987, he served as General Manager for the Physician Services and Facilities Management divisions of the company.  As a member of Pentamation’s executive committee, he was also the chairperson for strategic planning for the three operating divisions of this information technology company.

Prior to Pentamation, Russ served as a consultant/associate with Booz, Allen & Hamilton’s Management Consulting Group in New York City and previous to that time, he held the position of Systems Engineer with Electronic Data Systems Corporation of Dallas, Texas.

Andy Derr, Vice President of Technology and Development

Andy brings over 20 years of IT and management experience to his leadership role at Trifecta.  He is a 1983 graduate of Penn State University in Electrical Engineering and in 1990 he received a Masters of Computer Engineering from Syracuse University.  Prior to joining Trifecta Technologies in 1999, Andy worked for IBM Corporation for 15 years, initially as a programmer at the labs in Endicott, NY, and later as a consultant/architect in the IBM Global Services Division, now called Business Consulting Services.

Today, Andy oversees a growing team of solution architects, computer programmers, project managers and network operations personnel that specialize in the development and implementation of complex IT projects; including gathering customer requirements, conducting workshops, providing technical leadership, developing functional specifications, and directing the development team.   Andy is also tasked with handling numerous high-profile clients, including several large, worldwide pharmaceutical companies. He handles all aspects of technology, from selection of hardware and software to deployment and operations of the systems that support our staff and our clients.  Andy was responsible for building a secure, state-of-the-art network operations and web hosting facility at the company’s Pennsylvania location.
