Cater to Customer Needs with Cloud-Based Technology

Trifecta builds a custom, web-based app to streamline Sarbari’s purchase process, reducing maintenance costs.

The Story:

Background:

Sarbari Technologies develops food cost management software for the restaurant industry. Their customized web-based applications automate the tedious and time-consuming task of shopping and tracking food purchases for restaurants and food-service operators. Their MyOrderPlacer software solution allows operators to see the cost of food reduced in their businesses by an average of 10 percent, while at the same time improving efficiency and productivity.

Challenge:

Sarbari’s original brand, Com-Pear, was outdated and keeping their company from succeeding in a competitive marketplace. They were in desperate need of rebranding their company and site. Sarbari’s original site was on JBoss Portal, an open-source platform for hosting and managing a site. When that platform became obsolete, Sarbari suffered security breaches due to lack of technological support resources. The JBoss Portal was hosted on dated physical servers, which caused slow load times, poor performance, and inefficiencies for Sarbari.

Our Work

Strategy:

Trifecta began the process of improving Sarbari’s systems by migrating their original site application to Apache Tomcat. We then moved their site to a cloud-hosted environment using Amazon EC2.

Trifecta collaborated with the Sarbari team to design new UI/UX that reflected their software would be intuitive for their customers. Trifecta also designed and developed a new algorithm that would allow restaurant buyers to see their potential savings on all orders through Sarbari’s new system.

The Results

Results:

A new, supported platform means Sarbari (and their customers) no longer has to worry about security breaches. Their application is faster and more efficient, boosted by streamlined data processing on the back end. The cloud environment offers additional scalability and has eliminated the cost of maintaining physical servers. Further, Sarbari’s rebranding and new user interface is more intuitive and eye-catching, which has appealed to more customers than their previous branding.
