Customer Account Portal Redesign

Trifecta helped Topgolf when they were looking to implement a new member portal experience for their customers.

Their Goal

Topgolf is a global sports entertainment and event venue with fun point-scoring golf games for all skill levels. One of the features they offer their customers is a site where players can keep track of their scores and manage their memberships. Topgolf’s existing system was outdated, difficult to use, and didn’t reflect their updated brand identity.

A majority of the traffic to the portal was from mobile devices, and their users often performed repeated tasks, so this web app needed to not only be mobile–friendly but also function similar to a mobile application.

Our Approach

We sent our team down to Dallas, TX, to visit Topgolf and begin a 2-week discovery process. Through this, we had a thorough understanding of their business strategies, the pain points associated with the current portal, and an action plan to take home and start the project.

UI/UX Design & Information Architecture

Trifecta met daily with the Topgolf team to continue refining the business requirements, and to flesh out the structure of our design. We started with creating a full site map and user flow document to determine the best way for members to use the portal. We then created wireframes for the major sections of the site and presented often to Topgolf to get feedback and refine from there.

Interface Designs

Once the wireframes had been approved, our design team created high fidelity visual compositions of the portal along with interactive prototypes to make sure that it would accomplish the goals outlined through the discovery process.


Topgolf received our team’s discovery findings, business suggestions, style guides, and interface designs to ensure their member portal redesign was a hole-in-one.
