Madison Energy Infrastructure (MEI) is a leading clean energy developer and long-term asset owner committed to delivering sustainable results for its partners and customers with certainty, speed, and trust. Project Impact

Trifecta’s Stripe Payment Launchpad created an optimized payment process for MEI, providing more capabilities for customers making payments and reduced workload for staff.
The Challenge

A major challenge for MEI was the laborious and inflexible payment process in place.

It became burdensome for MEI to manage payments with the previous system because processing required manual work from staff. The existing portal’s user experience was limited, it was not mobile responsive and it did not offer self-service options related to invoices and making payments. There were very few payment options available, and MEI wanted to make payment via ACH or credit card available to customers. Finally, MEI was struggling with restricted account options. Since they have separate entities that they conduct business under, they needed a system which supported settling payments to different accounts.

Our Strategy

Trifecta aimed to create a revamped portal with an emphasis on user-experience and improved payment processing.

The new portal would be user-friendly, mobile responsive, and offer impressive functionality. Customers would be able to view invoices and rate schedules (based on the customer contract permissions), as well as make and manage their payments. An improved billing area for customer self-service would also eliminate the need for MEI staff to manage and process payments manually.

To do this, Trifecta introduced MEI to our Stripe Payment Launchpad which would create a payment process to impress. We planned to integrate with BluePoint (MegaWatt) to Salesforce for supporting invoice visibility and auto payments. Implementing automated emails and workflows would increase communication with customers, since alerts with important information such as payment confirmations and reminders would be delivered directly to the customer’s inbox.

The Results

Implementing Trifecta’s Stripe Payment Launchpad will revitalize MEI’s payment process. MEI is planning a rollout to its customers in the coming months where they can expect to have increased usability and payment options in the new portal.

Flexible Processing: For customers with multiple business entities or specialized requirements, this launchpad allows you to choose between multiple Stripe accounts to process payments.
