B2B Commerce Website in Salesforce. Product Data from Salsify.
The Gemline team managed all of their product data within Salsify. This key information needed to flow into their Salesforce B2B Commerce site, without duplicative effort and friction.
When Gemline’s merchandisers update a product description, set product photos, or launch a new product, it is done entirely in Salsify. They wanted to maintain this Salsify-exclusive process that their team was already familiar with, so it would be an easy transition to a Salesforce B2B Commerce site.
Trifecta implemented our Salsify to Salesforce B2B Commerce Integration Accelerator.
This connector creates a direct, automated pipeline between the two platforms.
The integration’s structure is comprised of two batch jobs that run nightly. The first job retrieves a complete list of all products needed in Salesforce and basic product data. The second job determines what products need to be loaded or updated in Salesforce. It retrieves the information in Salsify, and any changes are reflected in Salesforce.
As part of our standard integration accelerator, images and swatches are pulled from Salsify and loaded into Salesforce with multiple fixed sizes. This benefits thumbnail usage and responsive design. Products are set to the correct website category by retrieving the product categorization from Salsify. In addition to these jobs that are included with our Integration Accelerator, Trifecta implemented jobs for product pricing, product inventory, and product web categorization.
A pre-launch preview environment lets the commerce team see how new products would appear on the storefront before going live. This keeps their team confident and collected during launch and eliminates any scramble to fix formatting issues post-launch.
Gemline’s product data is automatedly shared between Salsify and Salesforce.
This gives their teams the benefits of both platforms, keeps their processes the same, and unifies product data with one source of truth.
Instead of replacing either system, Trifecta’s integration has preserved Salsify as their product data hub. Product managers continue creating and updating records within Salsify as normal. The integration is handling the rest, automatically publishing product data into Salesforce B2B Commerce on a daily sync schedule. No manual handoff or copy and pasting required.
Operational Efficiency: An automated daily sync keeps Gemline’s teams completely aligned between Salsify and Salesforce, without any manual involvement.
Improved Data Accuracy: When a product manager modifies an item in Salsify, the change is reflected in Salesforce commerce storefront. No discrepancies between data!
Pre-Launch View: Gemline’s team can preview changes and new products in a Salesforce sandbox, verifying their accuracy and appearance before going live.
